Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
For applicants who do not hold a bachelor's degree in Spanish (language and/or literature), certification or degree in teaching Spanish as a second language
Minimum of 5 years experience teaching Spanish as a second language
Student centered

Preferred:

Master's degree in teaching, Spanish or related field
English fluency, ability to function in English on a daily basis
Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, and particularly to US undergraduates
Experience working with individuals within the music industry
Ability to possibly teach other related courses within the liberal arts and sciences

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach 12 Sections of undergraduate Spanish
Teach graduate level Spanish workshops
Engage with students outside of the classroom and assist with special activities if needed
Participate in undergraduate faculty meetings
Other duties as assigned

START DATE:
September 4, 2023
