Purpose:

The Pipeline Analyst interprets data collected from Ultrasonic Shear Wave Technology for the purposes of detecting crack-like axial defects under the constant supervision of individuals qualified for the task(s) being performed.

Responsibilities:

Identifies and carriesout feature/anomaly recognition of pipeline data (identification, classification, and sizing)
Identifies girth welds, longitudinal seam welds, and spiral welds applicable to the data set
Identifies pipeline installations and appurtenances
Establishes and validates reference points
Identifies wall thickness changes
Correlates, aligns, and tiesin customer maps, logs, alignment sheets or PODs to the data and creates a tally register
Interprets Above Ground Markers (AGM) information applies, edits, and generates location reference listing for this data

Requirements/Education
