    AMR Service Team Leader

    ABB is heavily investing in the field of Robotics, and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) in particular. You will form part of the team working in the one of the fastest growing and most highly sought after sectors in Industry.

    In this role you will be responsible to manage a team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians working with AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) in Robotics. Most of your team is based in Burgos and will require expansion throughout Spain. Your role supports the local team in Spain, and AMRs Globally ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.

    You will help to execute the Service strategy and boost growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, and cost-effective service offerings, solutions, and projects. You will drive excellence through effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with processes, procedures, and guidelines.

    You will support the transform of the current Service Operations team from a local to a global business and be responsible for the development of the ABB team and processes, with an aim to achieve the target customer satisfaction levels and meeting other business targets.

    You will lead a young and motivated team of around 20 people, supporting customers based within Spain and the rest of the world. Your peers will be the Service Sales and Service Spare Parts Managers, and you will report directly to the AMR Service Manager.

    Team building and teamwork is a key element for success in our Service business.

    Your responsibilities

    • Allocating and monitoring work on projects based on scope, delivery time, competencies, and workload – effectively utilizing resources through proper planning and scheduling.
    • Building sustainable customer relationships and utilizing feedback to drive consistent development of processes and practices.
    • Exceeding customer expectations by understanding and anticipating current and potential needs.
    • Implementing Health, Safety & Environment directives and ensuring instructions and regulations are communicated within the team, while monitoring and reporting progress and results.
    • Working with others to push service productivity improvement activities, streamlining Service processes and applications to support customers.
    • Ensuring that the Field Service Team is properly organized, resourced, and supervised, with team members certified in line with global certification and local regulations.
    • Reviewing competence levels to ensure that people are appropriately qualified to handle the jobs assigned to them.

    Your background

    • 7 years of experience in industry leading maintenance or after sales services teams – ideally related to industrial automation equipment.
    • Demonstratable team building skills.
    • Demonstrable experience in teamwork and collaboration.
    • The ability to travel infrequently to throughout Spain, and occasionally internationally (Europe and further).
    • Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
    • A technical training degree as an electrician or skilled mechanic. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English a must. Other European languages highly valued.
    • Current B (car) driver's license valid in Spain and Europe and Spanish residency permission.
