Responsibilities

The IT/OT Cybersecurity Engineer is part of the Cyber Security team. The role requires a security expert with background in Operational Technology and cyber security.

The role will also provide guidance and consultancy to business on these technologies and support project managers during the planning of OT security projects, as well as develop, design, and maintain OT security methodologies, governance framework and security standards.

He/she will build and engineer the strategy and activities to secure and maintain Clariant's Security posture on the Operational Technology field. The key responsibilities of an IT/OT cybersecurity engineer may include:

Identifying vulnerabilities: Assessing and analysing potential security weaknesses in OT systems

Implementing security measures: Designing and deploying cybersecurity solutions to safeguard OT systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber-attacks.

-Monitoring and incident response: Monitoring OT networks and systems for security breaches and responding promptly to any cybersecurity incidents or anomalies.

-Compliance and standards: Ensuring that OT systems meet industry-specific cybersecurity standards and compliance regulations.

-Risk assessment: Conducting risk assessments to evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities and providing recommendations to mitigate risks.

-Collaboration: Working closely with other IT and OT teams and experts to bridge the gap between IT and OT environments and develop comprehensive security strategies.

Requirements

Computing or engineering technology degree
> 5 years in cybersecurity

> 3 years in OT security

International cross-culture exposure

Strong intercultural, interpersonal and communication skills on senior management level.

Can deal with conflicts.

Business English level

German is a plus

Security certifications are a plus
