    Enjoy being part of a great team of experienced Contract Managers (f/m/d) and Legal Counsels (f/m/d), shaping the energy landscape of the future In your role as a member of this team you will actively support the manifold activities coming along with the project business of Siemens Energy's Business Areas. The world is currently facing a transition of the energy market that is characterized by a growing energy demand, and you will take responsibility for a broad variety of complex contractual matters in this exciting environment. Your primary task is the contractual support in the field of commercial contracts during the execution of national and international large-scale projects (EPC) by means of analyzing contracts, identifying contractual risks, drafting and negotiating agreements, and advising and supporting project, business and site management to tackle the challenges arising in large project business.

    How You'll Make an Impact

  • Acting as a Contract Management Key Account to all Grid Access and HVDC projects, who have the Dragados shipyard as a sub-supplier or consortium partner
  • Providing on site advice and support to business, project and site management during the execution of customer contracts, consortium agreements and sub-contracts to protect Siemens Energy's rights and entitlements
  • Supporting business, project and site management in contractual and commercial matters, supporting the change order processes and reviewing and drafting of relevant correspondence
  • Identifying all relevant technical, commercial and contractual aspects for supporting the set-up of project-specific claim strategies
  • Contribute to pursuing and defending incoming and outgoing claims, especially by collection of and advising on relevant project records, documentation, and all relevant facts
  • Supporting settlement negotiations with the contract partners
  • Collaborating with legal teams by providing support in substantiating relevant facts for claiming quantum, extension of time, and establishing factual defenses in arbitration proceedings
  • Supervising/performing quantum or delay analyses in view of establishing causation for relevant events impacting the project schedule and/or the scope of work
  • What You Bring

  • Academic graduation in technical field, business administration and law or quantity surveying background with appropriate academic or professional qualifications
  • Long-term experience in contract and claim management including analyzing and drafting contracts, alternatively legal or commercial academic background with experience in large scale projects
  • Very familiar with contract terms and conditions of international EPC and construction contracts (including, FIDIC, Orgalime, NEC, MF1)
  • Ability to collaborate with the project-, site- and other legal teams
  • Experience in working within internationally staffed teams and contractual partners and ability to travel nationally/internationally
  • Being able to negotiate proficient in Spanish and English,
  • Solid understanding in valuation (engineering quantification, bills of quantities, unit rates, re-measurement) and scheduling or project controls is welcome
