The Data Center Global Services team is looking for a Controls Engineer for Construction (BMS/EPMS), responsible for the building automation systems within Amazon data centers to join our EMEA team.

Our Control Engineers technical background across project/construction management, mechanical, electrical or technology background enable them to undertake the challenges of sophisticated controls platforms to strategically align building controls and automation with the larger objectives of the business.

They work individually and as part of a team to develop new products, support existing products, test and evaluate equipment.

Controls Engineers in AWS deploys , maintains BMS(Building Management System) & EPMS(Electrical Power Monitoring System) across our leased/colocation data centers.

Key job responsibilities
Controls Engineer(CE) deploys , maintains BMS(Building Management System) & EPMS(Electrical Power Monitoring System) in AWS leased/colocation data centers.

CE co-ordinates with AWS DCEO( Data Center Engineering Operations) teams to implement new builds, upgrades etc and ensures high availibility and high resiliency of these control systems.

A day in the life

Controls Engineer's day may begin with deployment efforts including on-site site management works , directing Controls vendors for installation / commissioing works and is responsible for quality and on time delivery of the tasks / project.

While managing service works, CE will co-ordinate with Operations teams for permits and engages Vendor or performs services confirming to the task lists.

EMEA Controls delivers cutting edge Controls solutions and maintain them throughout the life cycle of the project . Teams are based across 11 Clusters in EMEA supporting AWS internal and external customers on their mission. We ensure High Availability and Resiliency of our systems and run them efficiently .

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or other related engineering degrees
• Minimum Three (3) years in BMS or EPMS Controls related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have an understanding of: electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as a Controls Engineering Specialist Minimum 3 years of field service experience preferably with the following products: Siemens:

PowerLogic/Struxureware Power User Level Windows Skill Set -Project management, organization and problem solving skills with a drive for results and the ability to handle multiple task -Must be able to operate with little to no supervision

• Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or other related engineering degrees
