    Global Material MasterData (GMM) Operations Manager

    The Global Material MasterData Operations Manager is leading a team that is responsible for ensuring the creation, traceability/audit, and maintenance of Material Master Data for Coty worldwide operating on a global SAP platform.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As GMM Operations Manager you are responsible for ensuring that the Material Master Data are created on time and accurate as per briefing from Marketing/Initiative Leader. You are following the Global Data Standards provided by our Data Governance Team and contributing to adjusting them to changing needs. As Coty's growth builds on constant new product developments, this position plays a key role in delivering "Data Readiness" during all stages of the Innovation and leading the work across Site Initiative Leaders, R&D, Technical Packaging, Marketing, Planning, and Quality.

    Your main focus:

  • Lead and develop a Team
  • Ensure on-time and accurate Material Master Data
  • Lead continuous improvement journey for this team by applying the Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology
  • Looking and inspiring the team for transformational ideas and applying new tools and systems arising (AI tools, Datalake)
  • Support and lead Master Data Projects

    The team consists today of five Master Data Analysts. You will work closely together with several departments such as Master Data Governance, Initiative Leaders, Marketing, Planning, R&D, Quality, and IT. All your colleagues are dedicated experts and ready to drive Coty to the next level. Working in a team environment with a can-do attitude, optimism, and focus on finding solutions. The team has a continuous improvement mindset, committed to resolving upcoming challenges and opportunities, to make processes more efficient. Master data community's main characteristics are team spirit, collaboration, and working together cohesively toward common goals. They willingly share knowledge and resources, help when needed, and celebrate each other's successes.

    Responsibilities

  • Define and set individual and team goals and KPIs ensuring stretch and accountability to deliver according to the Service Level Agreement. Monitor new Initiative production cycles Monitor master data enrichment processes, traceability, and audits Lead and run operational weekly and monthly scorecards and PDCA. Management of projects, initiatives and solving business challenges
  • Role model the meaningful review of performance through the annual appraisal process and continuous touch points throughout the year.
  • Ensure team members are onboarded and set up for success in their roles.
  • Build the capability of the team, and the members individually, through coaching and development. Coordinate process improvement, ensuring the gaining of efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure 100% completion of your direct reports and the wider team for all people initiatives (such as goal setting, performance reviews, learning & development activities)

    Other than that, you:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, BA, and/or similar academic background).
  • Experience in Supply Chain and Project Management.
  • English (advanced level is mandatory)
  • SAP and MS Project are highly recommended.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, along with critical thinking, process improvement, and decision-making.
  • People leader – ability to motivate and enable a high-performing organization.
  • Strong sense of individual accountability – personal drive to improve status quo and passionate ownership of performance.
