La Residencia is looking for Spa Receptionist to join their team for 2023, from March to October.

Our luxury Belmond hotel is set amongst the beautiful Tramuntana mountains in the small village of Deia, a 40 minute drive from Palma.


MAIN DUTIES

  • To be fully aware of all the Spa services and facilities.
  • To ensure all reservations are performed following the La Residencia Hotel Spa standard.
  • To follow the opening and closing procedures set by La Residencia Hotel and Spa.
  • To be fully aware of the booking schedule and to keep updated with any changes throughtout the day.
  • To check and maintain equipment at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Always check carefully the guest information prior to the booking/treatment for any extra information about the guest.
  • To ensure the guests are not kept waiting for their treatment. Inform therapists of any delays or changes in the schedule.
  • To ensure all Spa reception area is kept to a professional standard, clean, tidy and set up to the La Residencia Spa standards.
  • To ensure all areas of the Spa are fully equipped.
  • To ensure the guests are always greeted using the standard greeting and by their name.
  • To always acknowledge all the guests entering the Spa.
  • Be familiar with La Residencia Hotel, room features, activities and services.
  • To always note any guest comments or complaints, then report to the Spa Manager.
  • Always go out of your way to satisfy the guests requests and if an item or service is unavailable to search and offer an alternative.
  • Assist with Spa tours and general information regarding the Spa.
  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform at all times.
  • To maintain a high standard of appearance and hygiene at all times including hair tied back and groomed fingernails.
  • To attend meetings and briefings as requested.
  • To attend all scheduled training programs.
  • To ensure the wastage of products and cleaning materials is kept to a minimum.
  • To ensure that equipment is cleaned and maintained and handled in accordance with department standards.
  • To perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Spa Manager.
  • To not smoke, consume alcohol or use unprescribed drugs whilst at work.
  • To promote and maintain a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere in the Spa for both guest and staff.
  • To be familiar with all the Spa team and acknowledge them by name.
  • To be aware of all the product lines sold in the Spa.
  • Give a comprehensive guide to all Spa guests that come for the first time.
  • Be able to give advise regarding all Spa services and advise consultations when the need arises.
  • Prioritise daily events and duties, placing guests needs first.
  • To be familiar with all advanced bookings and groups that have a Spa reservation.
  • To be aware of all billing systems for group and individuals after all spa treatments.
  • To be familiar with the guest inhouse list and pay particular attention to the departure list.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To perform the spa reservations within your scope and education.

To maintain professional standards of service and personal appearance to comply with La Residencia Hotel and spa policy procedures at all times.


Requirements:


ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:


  • Certificate 111 in Business Administration or similar
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATES & COURSES

  • Idiomas
  • English High level
  • Spanish (An advantage)
  • Book4time (An advantage)

WORK EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM - 2 years experience in a similar 5 star environment with good sales skills demonstrating confidence and competence
Applicants must hold an EU passport or Spanish work permit.
