General description:

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician for the IT Unit.


Our mission is to lead, from the vantage point of molecular science, cross-strategies for solving major social and economic challenges, such as climate change and sustainable supply of energetic and raw materials, thereby contributing to the establishment of a knowledge-based economy and improving citizens' quality of life in our influence area.


Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the IT Unit and with the collaboration of IT Team, responsibilities will include:

  • First IT contact with ICIQ Users
  • Welcome and guidance to new ICIQ Users
  • Active Directory management including creating/deleting users
  • Office 365 Management and licencing accounts
  • Help Desk support with resolution of IT issues level
  • Escalate issues to next level IT support
  • Ticketing management.
  • Installation of workstations and PCs (Windows Workstations, MacOs Computers)
  • Support and troubleshooting with ICIQ Workstations (Windows Workstations, MacOs Computers)
  • User's guide to the use of Technologies tools
  • Support, installation and troubleshooting with Laser Printers
  • Management of the printer's consumables and toners
  • Hardware and software network support on user computers, laboratory equipment computers and wireless devices.
  • Software installation and management on user equipment.
  • Equipment layout
  • Inventory of all devices managed by IT Unit at the Institute.
  • Management and handling warranties under IT Responsibility
  • Multimedia Support (Image and sound) on ICIQ General Events on Multimedia Rooms and Auditorium
