Role Summary


The
Production Planner is responsible for socializing proposed work order schedule to gain consensus from production department prior to release, managing rescheduling process when unforeseen issues arise, keeping customer OTD as the priority; additionally, assembly activities control and following-up.

This position will coordinate closely with warehouse, engineering, assembly and quality to ensure schedule gets back on track when managing bottlenecks, prioritizing the work with the business objectives and strategic initiatives of the operations.


Responsibilities

  • Production (Assembly) plan definition and followingup, convert planned orders into released orders for pumps and pump sets; ensuring the proper coordination with the Master Plan.
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain a high level of communication with Production, material & production planning checking and reporting material availability to meet production plans.
  • Run reports for planned vs actual run rates and provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on required routing time adjustments.
  • Manage work orders release to manufacturing.
  • Support ontime delivery as per confirmed/quoted dated and service level reliability.
  • Report weekly on schedule adherence and escalate issues to management as they arise.
  • Manage bottleneck coordination when needed.
  • Knowledge of pump/ rotative or industrial equipment will be valued.
  • Ability to automatize and improve internal processes

Requirements:


  • Languages: Spanish and English
  • At a minimum, any other language is valued.
  • High level of Microsoft Office usage required.
  • High level of SAP ERP System usage preferred.
  • Knowledge of Big Data & Business analytics tools will be valued.
  • Must be an active and committed person, easy to communicate and eager to learn and train.
  • Must have good adaptability, flexibility
  • Proactive person
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for production plans and process.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) preferably in mechanical engineering, 2+ years relevant industry or Planning tasks experience.
  • Working MRP knowledge with SAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Pump or industrial Industry experience a plus.
  • Understanding of the Manufacturing (machining workshop).
  • Knowledge of the Flow of the Materials throughout the Shop.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and process oriented
  • Proactivity needed when looking for opportunities to improve internal processes, in order to reduce lead times in delivery and improve efficiency.
  • Be in charge for production work orders in SAP.
  • In charge for assembly work orders analysis and release process.
  • Team spirit to partnership with all Pozuelo team to fulfill with customer expectations.
  • Respectful, who understands others point of view and is willing to collaborate with others.
  • Organized person capable to work in a multitask environment.
  • Able to adapt to scheduling changes.
  • Living with Flowserve values and behaviors.
