Job Description:


As an EMC Engineer, you will contribute to the management, definition and development of the EMC, to meet the requirements of European Directive in Rail Systems Major Projects.

You become part of AECOM's Civil Infrastructure Systems Team. As so, you will have access to some of the top global transportation projects, collaborating in a high-performance group.


Some of your functions will be:

  • Participate in bid processes to develop winning proposals in collaboration with other business lines or offices.
  • Participate in large tender process
  • Be able to act as technical advisor and reviewer for design teams
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Contribute to design & development, design risk & mitigation, value engineering.
  • Attend design team and client meetings as appropriate.
  • Review detailed design information.
  • Produce technical reports.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of design work to achieve a successful project implementation and future reliability.
  • Carry out risk assessments and provision for health and safety management.

Minimum requirements for the role:


We are looking to hire a professional with:
Art least, 4 years of relevant experience in Rail Systems EMC field measurement and EMC testing plans building.

Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or similar field.

Knowledge of EMC Railways related EN standards series (EN50121, EN50238, EN61000, EN 50500, etc) and IEC equivalent.

Previous experience in EMC Management or Control Plans production.

EMC calculation tools.

Spanish and English languages professional proficiency (spoken and written).

Familiar with Electrical concepts (for example HV, MV and LV systems).

Good knowledge in MATLAB programming.


Qualifications:


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ 6 years of relevant experience in Rail Systems EMCKnowledge of EMC Railways related EN standards series (EN50121, EN50238, EN61000, EN 50500, etc) and IEC equivalentFamiliar with ICNIRP guidelines and other health and safety-related directives (1999/519/CE, 2013/35/UE, Canadian Safety Code 6, ACGIH, etc )

Experience in EMC Management Plans and EMC Control Plans productionExperience in the use of EMC calculation toolsExperience in grounding and bonding related to EMI mitigationExperience in EMC field measurement and in developing EMC testing plansSpanish and English languages professional proficiency10 years or more of relevant experience will be preferredPrevious experience will be valued if related to these rail systems fields and skills:
Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications EngineerKnowledge on HV, MV and LV systemsKnowledge on traction power and traction simulationsKnowledge on Rolling Stock EMCExperience in MATLAB programmingKnowledge on system assurance and RAMS (EN50126)Knowledge on additional languages


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
