Job Title: Electronics Engineer - Automotive Sector

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at IDIADA HQ. As a member of our Electronics Department, you will be working on applications related to functional safety applied to different systems of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Define vehicle features (Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Thermal Management, Battery Management System) according to customer design requirements
• Analyze potential hazards in case of electric and electronic malfunctions of vehicle features
• Assess risks associated with those hazards and define safety goals and functional safety requirements
• Define technical safety requirements and safety architectural design of vehicle features
• Perform safety validation of vehicle features
• Support improvement of procedures and methodologies (checklist/templates/guidelines)
• Participate in project definition and quotations (communication with clients, offer preparation, internal meetings)

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, or similar field
• Good background in Electronics or Mechanics, passion for automotive industry, willingness to learn, and availability to work with worldwide OEMs
• Desired skills: ISO 26262 standard know-how, experience in Electric/Electronic or other development areas, experience from OEM and/or supplier side, knowledge of different vehicle architectures
• Excellent team-working, organization, and communication skills
• Fluent English and Spanish; German and other languages an asset
