The
Cost
Engineer will support the company's growth plans by partnering with relevant teams to achieve the most cost-effective calculation and target for Basquevolt's products.

He/she is responsible for transferring customers' requirements into Basquevolt product cost by defining together with different teams the appropriate cost estrategy.

Reporting directly to the Engineering director, s/he will be responsible for:

Introduce and design a cost approach and value engineering in the company product design and manufacturing processes. Implement cross-functional mindset change towards cost and value awareness.
Establish standards as well as transparency in cost of products, partner with different teams for creating a costeffective proposal aligned with final customer requirements.
Support setting of competitive and challenging achievable targets based on the competitors, customer and market analysis.
Supports definition and optimization of product design and component specifications to ensure an adequate output.
Supports in building an appropriate supply chain and manufacturing chain that is aligned with the cost estrategy.
Supports achieving optimal commercial conditions by guiding our negotiations with precise information on expected costs.

The
Cost Engineer is expected to work as a team member with other parts of the company and maintain in-depth relations with all members of the Engineering team.

Applicants should have a high degree of initiative, flexibility and should be open to intense interdisciplinary collaboration, first in an early-stage start-up but moving progressively to an efficient mid-size organisation.

Specifically, we will assess expertise in the following aspects:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years on industrial costing experience. Experience on cell manufacturing industry or automotive industry is highly appreciated.
Good knowledge of industrial and product costing.
Fast information analysis with good problemsolving skills.
Excellent communicator to all levels of management in the company.
We expect high readiness to work with strong engagement and creativity in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
Applicants should be fluent in English. Any other European language is a plus.
Certification AACE International Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) or similar is appreciated.
