The Vacancy

Due to exponential growth and a consistent workload, we are currently looking for an Intermediate/Senior Engineer to join our Operational Engineering team in Madrid.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of this unique role and act as a key player to support the continues growth of this successful service.

You will be based in our dynamic Madrid office and will cover a workload in the Spanish market and beyond.

We undertake a lot of surveys and refurbishment projects within the commercial office, retail, logistics, hotel and residential sectors, so you will get an exciting and varied workload from the get-go.

Responsibilities

• Producing preacquisition and disposal technical due diligence reports
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance reports, NZC reports, energy audits, life cycle costing and plant replacement projects in different building types
• Management of minor projects and acting as project lead
• Opportunity for line management of junior engineers or graduates
• Input into innovation; continual improvement of services and products
• Supporting the wider teams providing technical support and maintenance management duties
• Meet target KPIs on WIP management
• Business Development responsibilities including client care and identifying new opportunities for growth
• Hold a clean driving license and able to travel for site visits

Your Profile Experience

• Relevant degree in Building Services Engineering, Industrial Engineering etc. or equivalent
• Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
• Excellent report writing and communication skills are required and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues is essential
• Client facing with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 4 + years' experience within a consultancy or from an M&E project engineering background
• Flexible and willing to cover a variety of work and travel to site as needed
• Knowledgeable in statutory compliance, regulations and standards relating to operational/existing building services in Spain
• Working knowledge of and ability to identify and provide professional advice for all MEP building services
• Methodical way of thinking and approach to work
• Working knowledge of and ability to produce thermal models and carry out energy audits reports
