Environmental knowledge of applicable local regulations, as well as knowledge of Renewable Projects.

This position required the analysis and management of the potential environmental impacts that renewable energy projects may have during their development phase, as well as appropriate compensatory measures to be implemented and manage during the construction and operational phases in accordance with the Project's legal requirements.

Reporting to HSE Environmental Engineer, the position is intended to assist to minimize the environmental and social impact of TotalEnergies portfolio, while making sure the projects are in compliance with local and internal regulations.

This position is based at Madrid ́s office.

  • During development stage and preconstruction stage:
  • Assist the HSE Manager and TERIb Developer ́s Dept. to make sure the projects meets.
  • TotalEnergies expectation regarding Environmental and social impact.
  • Environmental screening of projects at early stage.
  • Review of ESIA reports provided by third party entities to make sure Legal and TERIb standards are met.
  • Review of the project's environmental permits, identifying the key risks and possible constraints regarding construction periods, engineering design, reporting requirements, among others.
  • Prepare internal documents for HSE assessment prior to final investment decision for the project, such as budget of the compensatory measurers and environmental monitoring services.
  • Documentation review to make sure contractors are in compliance with the environmental regulation.
  • During construction stage:
  • Support the respective project teams in the overall compliance of Environmental requirements by the Company and contractors.
  • Site visits as needed.
  • Act as a point of coordination for all Environmental matters between the contractors and the TotalEnergies project teams.
  • Review the followup reports and any other relevant documentation provided by third party entities.
  • Conduct field supervisions to guarantee the correct implementation of compensatory measures dictated by the projectspecific Declaración de Impacto Ambiental.
  • Perform the communications required on the project ́s permits.
  • Correct Environmental issues and open NCR and FON reports as needed.
  • During Operation stage:
  • Review the followup reports and any other relevant documentation provided by third party entities.
  • Verify the level of compliance of the environmental requirements of the project ́s permits.
  • Coordination with Local Environmental Agencies for permitting related issues and reporting.
  • Conduct field inspection to make sure the correct implementation of Compensatory measures are in place.
  • Site visits as needed.
  • Central Services:
  • Integrate the Environmental and Social standards within the Project and company
  • Assist to manage regular environmental data reporting.
  • Manage all Environmental aspects related to the Company
The role's primarily responsibility is to provide support to the HSE Environmental Engineer to make sure TE Renewables Iberia complies with Local and Internal HSE standards for renewable projects at Iberia

TotalEnergies Renewables Iberia develops, builds, and operates solar projects in Iberia region, either with full ownership or with partners in JVs.


This position shall involve coordination with Iberia central operation functions such as project management, engineering, procurement, legal, finance, business development, etc.

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in the environmental or other sciences, engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as Environmental Consultant, some of them acting as a Project Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Regulations.
  • Specific experience within the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong communication, reporting and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Knowledge of French and Portuguese is desirable.
  • Highly selfmotivated.
  • Leading capabilities and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility and work independently.
  • Strong initiative and problemsolving skills are required.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
