POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the General Analysis Characterization Unit and contribute to the activities of the Electron Microscopy Platform.

Job functions:

• Keep tools updated for registering and organizing analysis requests.
• Ensure availability of all necessary material for smooth work with different analysis techniques.
• Conduct sample preparation, calibration development, routine measurements, and record all data accurately.
• Participate in drafting quality procedures and ensure adherence to internal standards.
• Maintain equipment and facilities.
• Provide technical support to research projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and maintain a clean environment.
• Provide basic training on different techniques when needed.

• Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Sciences, or related.
• Theoretical and practical experience in various analytical and microscopy techniques including:
  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)/Microscopies: Includes sample preparation for SEM.
  • Gas Chromatography: GC/MS, GC FID/BID, CHSNO Elemental Analysis, or Physical Gas Adsorption (BET).
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong team player with good collaboration skills.
