About the Role

Responsible for determining the validity and authorising settlement of insurance claims

Duties

  • Handle A & H claims, travel claims in particular
  • Process and approve claims in compliance with the Company's policies, guidelines & agreed service standards
  • Proactive claims handling, including timely investigation on suspicious abuse claims
  • Upkeep the claim status and undertake periodical reviews
  • Assist in reports preparation
  • Actively participates in team's meeting, enhancement in workflow, claims system, UAT and projects, as assigned.
  • Maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents and other internal counterparts
Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of insurance principles and claims procedures & policies
  • Able to work independently and meet service standards
  • Selfmotivate, multitasks handling and adapt to a changing environment
  • Sound negotiation, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Good team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
Education/Work Experience

  • Diploma holder or above in any disciplines
  • 2 years' of relevant A & H claims handling experience
