Key responsibilities

Create new Power BI reports
Help to embed Self Service Reporting and the new ways of working for the organisation
This will require work across people, process, and systems
Improve the quality and reach of the standard reports
Assist in bringing in additional data sources and additional businesses into the data lake
Being able to understand the right business question to ask of the data through to interrogation and modelling to gain the insight to answer them, and then present the insight in a compelling way

Key requirements:

5+ years progressive experience with a background in Data / Data Analytics. Experience with...

- data modelling and data driven decision making using statistical software and business intelligence tools
- designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Reporting tools and databases
- designing effective and impactful reports and visualizations
- expertise in architecture and development of solutions in a data lake environment

A good understanding of relational data modelling, normalization, and query optimization

- data analytics tools and strategies to determine user behaviours & trends

Programming skills in Synapse to enable querying of data
Strong reporting background
Can do attitude and ability to see things through to resolution
Comfortable to work from ambiguity and work to determine clarity
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to define requirements with business teams
Demonstrated ability asserting data standards and governance over workspaces, reports, and metrics
Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes, and making recommendations
Change Management mindset understands the totality of what is required to generate a data driven culture.
