Job Title: Engineer NC.Nxt (m/f/d)

Location: Sarriguren, ES, 31621

About the Job:

You will contribute to a multidisciplinary team in developing turbine control and automation technology for an international Wind Turbine Control department.

Main Responsibilities:

New and further development of control technology functions in operational wind turbine control
Implementation of software functions on a programmable logic controller (PLC) according to requirements
Software architecture design for optimal PLC execution, considering modularity and hardware abstraction layer
Development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Qualification of new ideas
Coordination of new requirements with mechanical and electrical departments
Technical clarification of systems and software specifications
Analysis of field data and definition of optimized functionality
Defining tests and approval criteria for HIL and field tests

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A technical master's degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, telecommunications, or a comparable field
Advanced knowledge in abstract thinking
Good knowledge in PLC Programming according to IEC61131
Knowledge in the use of Matlab/Simulink is desirable
Experience in agile software development according to SCRUM is preferable
Experience with version control systems like SVN or Git
Good knowledge of different industrial communication protocols (Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA...)
High results orientation and quality awareness
Initiative as well as responsibility, structured and sustainable way of working
Teamwork and communication skills
English language proficiency (very good written and spoken)
Ideal knowledge of German or Spanish
