To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date at our location in Madrid:Underwriter Property (m/f/d)Job DescriptionDeveloping business within distribution channels, prequalifying accounts, and utilizing underwriting acumen to select property risks within company's risk appetite.
Expand and develop new business opportunities through production & marketing calls with brokers and customers.Qualification3-5 years property insurance experience.
Proven customer relationship experience. Strong existing broker relationships with focus on the retail brokerage community.
Develop and build the property book of business which includes primary and excess layers.
Experience with, and strong understanding of policy forms, including broker manuscripts.
Strong collaboration and team building skills.
Strong understanding of FIRE & CAT peril modeling/pricing.
Prior experience to refer accounts that exceed Underwriter authorities.
Market focus balanced with technical underwriting following internal guidelines.
Establish, develop, and expand broker and customer relationships.
Work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and make quick decisions while maintaining underwriting integrity.
Strong underwriting acumen.
Strong communication skills including negotiation and presentation experience.
Good Spanish and English language skills.
