How to contribute to our vision

You will manage a construction project engineering team within the Real Estate construction department of Siemens Gamesa

You will be responsible for supporting several major design and construction projects globally by providing expertise in the fields of expertise shown below.
You will manage a team of experts with the following expertise fields
Design of factories and cost optimization
Reviewing, challenging, optimizing requirement specifications from the business in order to optimize costs (CAPEX and OPEX)
Ensure quality of specifications signed off by the business before start of design
Propose optimized and innovative factory designs, including: modular, prefabricated, standardized, short lifetime, etc.
Challenge and validate technical design from external architects and designers
Ensure lessons learned and knowledge transfer crossprojects
Ensure consistency and quality of cost estimates provided to the business for early stage investigations. Ensure robust cost database is maintained.

Contract and claim management support to the projects:

During tender phase for contract draft and contract negotiation
During project execution
At project final closing
Project Management Office (PMO), operational excellence
Promote a project execution excellence strategy, ensure its followup in the projects
Control the projects in terms of quality gates and milestones
PMO support to the projects
You will thereby contribute to facilitate project execution in accordance with timeline, costs, risks, safety and quality.
You will interact with many internal stakeholders and several subcontractors for all projects: designer, project management company, general contractor or builttosuit developer.
You will frequently travel to the projects locations.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for

You have a master/diploma in construction engineering, civil engineering, MEP engineering, architecture or similar.
You have at least 7 years of work experience in project management in the context of construction projects of industrial facilities.
You have a strong understanding of the main CAPEX drivers in the design and construction of industrial facilities
Experience in manufacturing or the wind turbine business is a plus
You have a strong experience in construction contract management, for example Fidic red and/or yellow book or equivalent
You are structured, targetdriven, and work solutionoriented and problemsolving manner, in order to deliver projects on time, quality and budget.
You are used to work in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project), ideally Autocad.
You are very fluent (verbally and written) in English, e.g. able to negotiate and review contacts in English. Another language (e.g. Spanish or German) is a plus.
You show great leadership, strong communication and cooperation skills in a complex and diverse project environment.
You are able to convince, negotiate, motivate and steer project teams.
You have experience from working in international and multicultural corporate environments.
