Purpose of position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Architect with the potential to lead and manage our AWS CoE team in the future.

You will play a critical role in shaping our cloud strategy, providing guidance to teams, and ensuring best practices are followed in AWS architecture and deployment.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS solutions, creating governance frameworks, and driving innovation within our organization.

Key Tasks:

Develop and evolve our AWS cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
Design and architect AWS solutions that are scalable, secure, and costeffective.
Create and maintain governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance standards for AWS deployments, and ensure that they are followed across the organization.
Implement strategies for optimizing AWS costs while maintaining performance and reliability, such as implementing AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor recommendations.
Promote automation and DevOps practices to streamline cloud operations, improve agility, and reduce manual tasks
Lead and manage the AWS CoE team, including architects, engineers, and administrators, to ensure efficient and effective cloud operations.
Collaborate with the security team to ensure that AWS environments meet all necessary security and compliance requirements.
Implement and maintain monitoring and performance optimization tools and processes to ensure AWS resources are performing efficiently.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, providing guidance, training, and support to developers and other stakeholders.

Skills and expertise:

Proven experience in architecting, designing, and implementing AWS solutions.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, in particular ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudfront, Kinesis, Networking.
Knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt and Atlantis.
Excellent understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
As this position has leadership potential, nice to have experience in leading and managing a team of cloud professionals.
Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
