TE Connectivity's Supply Chain employees are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels.
They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain.
Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with production to develop a production plan that meets customer service and inventory management to avoid production stoppages
- Prospecting, search and support negotiation with suppliers
- Raw materials cost analysis
- Creates and releases purchase orders with awareness of customer request dates, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on time delivery to internal and external customers.
- Monitor receipts and validate product billing.
- Dealing with supplier nonconformities in collaboration with the Quality department.
- Highlight BOM / Routing errors when encountered and follow up until resolved with Manufacturing Engineering
- Monitor the work in progress of suppliers, issue reminders and alert in case of deviations.
- Produce, monitor and analyse indicators and communicate about the level of performance of suppliers.
- Participate in meetings between the different services, organized daily, to communicate information regarding supplies and define the necessary actions
What your background should look like:
- High school diploma and 2 years' experience or Associates degree in applicable field.
- Minimum 23 years of work experience in a Supplier Planning & Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Selforganized, structured/methodical, takes initiative.
- Strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Epicor/SAP or other ERP Knowledge preferable
