About the team you are joining


The Senior Manager, Consulting (Safety and Flight Operations), is responsible for the business development as well as managing and delivering consulting projects in the field of Safety and Flight operations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

What your day would be like

Develop IATA consultancy services portfolio in the Safety and Flight Operations domains and execute strategic business plans in collaboration with the sales and marketing groups;
Identify competitive and non-competitive consulting opportunities in the Safety and Flight Operations domains, develop responses to expression of interest/contract proposals, and negotiate, until execution, consulting projects and contracts in line with the budgetary targets;
Evaluate and negotiate partnership opportunities with consultancy firms for specific consulting engagements;
Develop and negotiate contracts for external resources, including pricing, specification, and resource allocation;
Manage the execution and/or delivery of aviation consultancy projects in the Safety and Flight Operations domains (project size varying between $100k and $500k) using best practices and managing teams of IATA Consulting staff, IATA Subject Matter Experts and external subconsultants;
Prepare annual budgets and monthly financial projections; submit reports and regular updates on progress, accomplishments, financial status and plans as requested;
Maintain knowledge and understanding of latest trends and developments in the Safety and Flight Operations and provide experts advices on products and services delivered by IATA;
Design new consulting solutions as part of IATA's New Product Development initiative, and in collaboration with the Marketing Department, formalize associated promotional material and marketing campaign;

Participate in promoting Consulting activities at various events, industry groups meetings, conferences, and forums to generate awareness and increase the uptake of consultancy services.

We would love to hear from you if

You have an experience of at least 10 years within an airline working on safety risk management or flight operations related topics;
You possess a solid knowledge of international aviation safety standards and regulations;
You have a proven track record of delivering safety-related / flight operations projects or change management projects to the benefit of airlines and/or Civil Aviation Authorities;

You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write reports in English and present them to senior executive managers; any other languages will be a plus.
