IDIBELL is looking for an Auxiliary Support Technician for the Laboratory of Rare Tumors

About the research group
Our reaseach team, the laboratory of Rare Tumors is part of the Hereditary Cancer Program of the Institut Català d'Oncologia, IDIBELL [

Program Director:
Gabriel Capellá/Conxi Lázaro].

The overarching goal of our lab is to gain insight into the molecular basis of hereditary rare cancer syndromes affecting children and young adults and to personalize risk assessment to patients and relatives.

Our research is focused on the description of new syndromes and the identification and functional characterization of novel cancer-predisposing genes; profiling of rare tumor types and understanding how the germline background of a patient contributes to the risk of developing benign or malignant tumor types.

Education and training

Technical formation in Biology (medium grade training cycle)
Certified training in experimental animal use

We will value, but not required

BSc Biology or Biotechnology
English, Catalan, and French language skills
Bioinformatic skills
Knowledge of CRISPR technology
Molecular and cell biology skills: PCR, WB, IP, tissue culture, cell assays
Experience working with RNA proteins and miRNAs
Experience in human cancer genetics and genomics analysis

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
