We are a Danish tech company based in sunny Marbella, an expert on e-commerce and subscription services, currently employing over 70 employees of 19 nationalities and we are now looking for an accountant to join our new entity Marbill Media in Tenerife.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Accountant to setup and maintain the bookkeeping.

As an accountant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the oversight and management of the accounting functions within our organization.

You will report to the Group Accounting Manager based in Marbella, with the support from our external consultant in accounting and tax.


Responsibilities:


  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Monthend Close: Assist in the monthend and yearend close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
  • Expense Management: Review and verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper expense allocation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the accounting department.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Tax: ensure the accuracy in tax declarations
  • Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis projects, such as forecasting, trend analysis, and cost analysis.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to financial reporting and monthend close processes.
  • Experience in Navision (Microsoft Business Central) will be much appreciated.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
