How to contribute to our vision


Activities:

  • You will join our project execution team in Offshore Equipment Engineering which is responsible for handling, transportation, lifting and installation of wind turbine components in execution projects. The team is closely cooperating with the construction team, making sure all turbine components can be installed safely, on time and on cost.
  • We are also closely linked to the new product development team which takes care of design and develop equipment for new platforms. Execution team is, among the other things, responsible to fulfill all customer, country, and harbor specific requirements.
  • You will work with many different interfaces and have stakeholder and project management responsibility for different transport, preassembly, and installation operations.
  • You will be involved in developing innovative and costefficient concepts to cover project specific demands for transport, handling and lifting equipment in execution projects as well as next generations of wind turbines keeping up with their steady increase in size and weight.

This includes amongst other tasks:

  • Structural verification of the equipment portfolio allocated to each execution project
  • Developing concepts for new equipment to transport and install turbines of everincreasing size
  • Technical guidance of project teams of varying size: You will keep the overview of the full solution while breaking it down in reasonable packages for distribution to various internal and external engineers and while assuring coherent design & quality during design processes
  • Specification, review and approvals of deliveries from third party suppliers
  • Technical alignment with various stakeholders throughout SGRE
  • Develop cost efficient solutions and optimized procedures
What you need to make a difference

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine Engineering, or similar)
  • 2+ years working experience in wind turbines, transport equipment, lifting operation or similar is desirable.
  • Capable of doing structural calculations with analytical basis and analysis software like Ansys, Robot, Sacs, Mathcad, etc.
  • Hands on experience in International Codes & Standards, mainly Eurocode, DNV and ISO
  • Familiar with mechanical/structural design, concept development, 3d models and fabrication drawings
  • Proven ability to quickly understand a problem and to propose solution on short notice based on analytical estimations
  • Demonstrate team spirit and good communication skills
  • Personal skills required to instruct a team of engineers and to take technical responsibility of their deliverables
  • Fluent in English both oral and writing
