We are seeking a talented and experienced team leader to join our team and bring this vision to life.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop innovative concepts and detailed technical solutions for assemblies and systems in the field of interior trim and interior equipment of rail vehicles.
  • Analyze and plan resources and tasks, considering economic efficiency and continuous monitoring of the results achieved.
  • Act as a contact person, both internally and externally, towards global customers and stakeholders. This involves clarification and coordination of complex interfaces to other specialist areas, organizational units and customers as required.
  • Design responsible assemblies and systems in 3DCAD (Creo). Control internal and external designers and draftsmen at various international locations during detail design.
  • Coordinate your design with shareholders such as interface partners, project management, purchasing, and production during the development phase.
  • Develop and integrate mechanical and electrical subsystems, considering the relevant requirements and crosscutting issues, with the aim of achieving an overall optimum of technology, costs, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Issue tenders for the manufacturing of your assemblies to suppliers by means of detailed specifications, define necessary inspections and tests, and support the selected supplier from a technical point of view throughout the entire development and manufacturing process.
  • Accompany and support the assembly of the systems for which you are responsible in our production and assess new requirements from customer specifications, standards, and legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, rail vehicle construction, or industrial engineering or a comparable degree.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of interior design of railway vehicles.
  • Extensive expertise in the material fields of fiber composites, wood, metals, glass, as well as with lighting systems and/or adhesive technology.
  • Experienced integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems in the train and have experience in project life cycle, requirements management, specifications, traceability, and validation.
  • Experienced user of Creo, PDMLink, and SAP.
  • Technical leadership experience of design engineers is a must.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills, additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills and can collaborate with all the stakeholders.
  • Excellent team player.
