Job Title: CFX Senior Artist

At Skydance Animation, we are seeking pioneers who seek to push the limits of what the world's most collaborative art form can achieve. As a CFX Senior Artist, you will be responsible for developing hair and cloth dynamic rigs for characters and executing CFX work in shots.

Responsibilities:

• Creates high-quality cloth, hair, and skin simulations & correctives for shot work in production.
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company.
• Involved in the development of departmental tools and techniques.
• Works within the established pipeline.
• Provides support, guidance, and instruction to team members in areas contributing to their artistic and professional growth.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
• 3+ years in the animation industry.
• Strong artistic or technical aptitude related to 3D animation.
• Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of Houdini/Vellum.
• At least one production in a Houdini pipeline is desirable.
• Marvelous Designer knowledge is a plus.
