Unison commenced operations in 2003 and today invests in real estate and infrastructure hosting wireless and renewables tenants in the United States and Europe.
The Company is expanding rapidly and looking for talented, entrepreneurial team members to grow with us.The Unison team is looking for a detail-oriented Closing Manager that can manage the entire closing process in Spain. The Closing Manager would report to Unison's Regional General Counsel in Europe.
THE JOB:
- General support of Unison's Regional General Counsel
- Europe
- Managing the closing process from start to finish, proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Liaising with brokers, and occasionally with Site Owners, e.g., regarding land split
- Assisting legal due diligence, Property due diligence (leases; title)
- Management and organization of all documentation on SharePoint
- Reporting on Pre-Close diligence, Closing Statements, Finance Review
- Assisting with notarial deeds, helping to oversee the legal and notary process from start to finish
- Managing and overseeing the payment process at all closings
- Weekly coordination meetings, update trackers
- Multitasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide highquality work product within stated deadlines.
- Manage the Spanish closing process for site acquisitions.
- Facilitate processes between pricing, origination, legal, finance and the management team.
- Complete internal documentation - spreadsheets etc.
- Instruct lawyers to deal with new site acquisitions, and help to manage legal relationships
- Training for internal team
- Participate in all relevant calls
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Real Estate related field is required
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of five years of experience as a real estate paralegal.
- Preferred experience related to real estate, telecommunications, and leasing transactions.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently, set priorities, and motivate others to do the same.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and deal effectively with multiple, simultaneous deadlines and projects.
- Languages: English intermediate both written and spoken (B2 level); Spanish native/fluent
