    Frontend Developer - Travel Things (Hybrid)

    As you contemplate your future, you might be asking yourself, what's the next step? Start your journey with us We're seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our Travel Things team in Barcelona, Madrid, Milan to create a one-stop-shop for our customers, where they can find the best travel options for their needs and experience amazing post-booking service in our best-rated mobile app.

    In the Travel Things area, our teams are working on our future ancillaries retail platform that will take the customer experience to the next level across new and innovative touchpoints.

    What you will do


    Work with a top-notch tech stack such as ES6 code, Javascript libraries like ReactJS and Lodash, GraphQL, Testing frameworks and libraries like Mocha, Chai, and Jest, React Testing Library (Selenium + Cucumber + nodejs), Style Sheet preprocessors like SASS, CSS-in-JS and styled-components, Packages and task runners like webpack, babel, grunt, npm.


    Build and leverage your technical excellence mindset to code solutions with the highest quality through good design, attention to detail and test quality.


    Work with a distributed, scalable microservices platform, where software gets deployed daily, with high quality, clean code, SOLID principles and TDD.

    Collaborate with talented colleagues who will mentor you and help you develop your career fast.

    Work in a fully agile organisation, using Kanban practices to deliver business value continuously.


    Be part of a high performing cross functional team of 7-10 developers, POs, UXers, QAs, data scientists, etc., all sharing the same values and focus on the customer.

    Actively participate in the product definition and ideation processes.


    Continuously learn and participate in workshops, hackathons and other events as we consider key to be active within the IT community.

    Priorities and Development

    Having a technical mindset is vital; we promote a microservices platform and modular FE and other best practices.

    Powerful monitoring techniques using Data Dog, BigQuery and Grafana.

    Version-control systems like Git & Bitbucket.

    Storybook using Design system made with Emotion and Styled System.

    Clean code, SOLID principles and TDD.

    Requirements to succeed
    Good to have

    Strong ability to code with Javascript or any Object oriented programming. We care about skills, not frameworks experience.

    Strong technical problem solving skills and ability to analyse and provide creative solutions focused on outcomes.

    Continuous learning mindset, growth and innovation.

    Team player with knowledge sharing and constructive feedback in a dynamic team.

    Good English level for a multicultural environment.

    Quality mindset; deliver correct and well-tested code.

    Interest in best practices for the technical area, domain and data-driven capabilities.

    Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

    Experience with Applied AI Tools:
    practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.

    Experimentation mindset; curiosity to explore and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into workflows.

    AI-Enhanced problem solving:
    use AI tools to debug code and improve productivity.

    Adaptability and learning agility:
    eager to learn new AI features and capabilities.

    Collaboration with AI:
    interest in working with AI tools as pair programmers.
