The QHSE Manager supports the SEOs of each site within the country leading all Quality & HSE related activities within the assigned sales, production and / or warehouse facilities and supports the target audit rating of > 85% for both functions.

This role ensures that all company standards, strategies, programs, policies & management Systems, Business Objectives and relevant regional, country, state and local laws, regulations, codes and rules are implemented, followed effectively and all recordkeeping and reporting requirements are completely and accurately documented.

The QHSE Manager acts as role-model and working in conjunction with the Operations team, R&D, and Sales & Marketing toward a proactive Quality & Safety Culture striving to achieve the "Zero Vision" culture: zero complaints, zero defects, zero accidents/injuries, zero waste, driving timely resolution of corrective actions.


Key Responsabilities:

  • Consults and supports Site Leadership concerning legal and management system compliance, implementation of company HSE standards, "We All Take Care", "Safety Boost", "16QA Quality System", and "QHSE Zero Vision & 4Eyes Wide Open" programs
  • Implements & executes trainings on all Quality & HSE topics, adapting Global trainings to site specific conditions
  • Supports site leadership in the execution of risk assessments, the design & layout of workplaces, working sequences, the working environment, selection PPE and ergonomic issues
and all necessary internal-, self-, external
- & legal audits, as well as fire prevention audits

  • Responsible for management of quality requirements associated with the development and launch of new products and product changes, including FAR's, retained samples, engineering change control, inprocess checks, design input/output/validation documents, product and process specifications, control plans and/or test methods
Prioritize, track and drive QHSE projects using formal project management and assessment tools including problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation


Additional Responsabilities:

  • Responsible for the generation and analysis of Quality, Safety, and Environmental reports and statistics (e.g. annual, quarterly & monthly reporting)
  • Leads and coordinates the daily activities of the Quality & HSE teams and Safety committee by providing technical and administrative support, training, and education necessary to promote the Quality Culture and a Safe Working Environment
  • Act as the company expert in dealing with government agencies on safety, environmental and health matters affecting the company, including organizing emergency management at the site and ensures that emergency action plans are maintained and updated
  • Participate in internal and supplier product development projects from the initial requirements phases through to the QA, deployment phases and develop necessary methodologies for process and product quality control


Executes and reports best practices to support continuous improvement within the site and the QHSE Community (e.g., monthly HSE Officer Calls, Global Quality Calls, SharePoint).


Professional Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and/or Environment preferred, or other technical field
  • 3+ years experience, minimum, in the field of Quality and/or HSE, technical and / or operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience as management system auditor preferred, at least as internal auditor
Recognized Safety Officer or Safety Engineer certification


Specific Knowledge:

  • Experience developing and managing integrated management systems
  • Knowledge about the local and international technical safety regulations and standards
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Skills in systematic hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Expert knowledge about Quality & HSE Culture Tools, in particular:
Root cause analysis
Safety culture Programs
Safety Short discussions

  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and able to put ideas into tangible form
  • Ability to lead teams, train and develop associates
Highly skilled in organization and priority setting; ability to manage and execute on multiple, critical projects simultaneously
