    Santander Digital Services (SDS) is the team of technology and operations at Santander.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Java Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic and inventive environment.

    To this end, we are seeking candidates who will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and beyond.

    We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
    Taking responsibility of the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met.
    Developing user stories working solo or pairing with a colleague .

    Discussing functional and technical solutions with the different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers to ensure US are refined and understood at the correct level.

    Write the automated testing required to ensure your stories meet the criteria to be considered "Done".
    Ensuring delivered solutions are developed under DevOps practices and latest technology trends.
    Keeping the solutions delivered running healthy in production minimising incidents and maximising quality of service.
    A software engineer who takes pride in their craftsmanship and in the results that they deliver.
    EXPERIENCE +5-7 years of related experience.
    EDUCATION University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.
    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Java.
    Extensive knowledge of working with distributed infrastructure systems and client-server architectures.
    Back-end technologies such as Springboot, Node JS, Mongo DB, Java, npm packaging, RESTful APIs. Experience in IBM API Connect and StrongLoop is a plus .
    Excellent working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
    Experience of using agile methodologies embedding TDD (test-driven development) and BDD as part of development lifecycle.
    Experience with API development (REST).
    Knowledge of continuous Integration and continuous delivery using Jenkins and the Nexus repository manager.
    Knowledge of Docker, Git, GitHub, Openshift and MicroServices Architecture.
    OTHER INFORMATION English at least C1.
    Availability to travel if needed.
