We are looking for a Books Product Sales Manager to manage West and Soutern parts of Europe.

This is an amazing opportunity to work in the EMEA Books Product Sales Team working with prestigious organisations across Europe The team consists of 8 and is reporting to the Books Product Sales Director, EMEA.

We have a great skill set in direct to library sales or publishing and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in the academic libraries and publishing sectors.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • At 2 years academic sales experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in new business development
  • At least 2 years in relationship management including cross selling, up selling and retention
It would be great if you also had...

  • Academic library sector or publishing experience
  • Data or business intelligence or subscription sales experience
What will you be doing in this role?

  • Business developing. Focus on new business, uncovering opportunities, creating target lists, prospects, and participating in territory planning while engaging the Account Manager, Content and Workflow Strategies Consultants and Client Relationship Manager as appropriate.
  • Qualifying. Qualify top opportunities based upon key initiatives and product roadmap driven from sales leadership for the product sales team.
  • Coordinating. Coordinate with the Account Manager on plans to be incorporated into overall territory and specific account plans.
  • Leveraging. Leverage unique relationships with influencers and decision makers to support lead generation and sales activity.
  • Engaging. Engages with colleagues across the Clarivate business to seek out relevant crossproduct solutions
About the Team

  • This role is working in the EMEA Books Sales Team who work in the Academic library sector with books print and electronic are our main products.
  • Internal stakeholders are other sales colleagues, product, marketing and training teams.
  • External stakeholders are academic libraries, faculty, library consortia and publisher partners.
  • This role is working in a team of eight Books Sales Specialists (including this open position) and four Content and Workflow Strategies Consultants
  • Consultation provided on collection development, content selection and purchasing, books acquisition workflows and usage and advocacy of Books content and products.
  • The EMEA Books Sales Team are a friendly, inclusive, creative and energetic group with a range of backgrounds and experiences spanning publishing, aggregation and library sectors.
