    Job Title: Design Manager - Data Centre

    ">

    We are seeking a seasoned Design Manager to join our team in Malaga, Spain. As a leading global consulting and engineering company, we require experienced data centre professionals to support our clients in the design, development, and operation of their facilities.

    Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to various entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team comprises experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage scope-of-work, design budget, and contract documents for each project
    • Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within the team
    • Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary teams and external parties
    • Lead and challenge design solutions and changes
    • Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to clients and the team

    Requirements:

    • Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors
    • Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE)
    • Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients
    • Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably the local office language – Spanish)

    Salary: The estimated salary for this position is around €85,000 - €105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
