_ Context:
_
Under the overall supervision of the Director of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT), the direct supervision of the Chief, ICT Migrant Management Operational. System
Application (MiMOSA) Systems & Migrant Solutions, the Senior ICT Officer (MiMOSA NextGen
Project Manager) is responsible for the leadership and delivery of the MiMOSA NextGen
Programme. The Senior ICT Officer (MiMOSA NextGen Project Manager)is primarily
responsible for 1) Overall Project Management, stakeholder coordination and technology
delivery including architecture, design, development, roll out of MiMOSA NextGen; 2)
Future-proofing the MiMOSA environment and identifying opportunities for new and emerging
technologies and their relevance and implications specifically to MiMOSA business and more
broadly to migrant related solutions in IOM's environment and 3) Provide a future roadmap and
plans for migrant solutions.
_Core Functions / Responsibilities:
_
- Provide overall programme oversight and tactical planning, organization, direction and
reports to the Steering Committee.
- Determine the technical team members to be assigned to the projects within the Programme
established business, technical and quality requirements; define the tasks and required
resources for the project.
- Provide guidance, technical leadership and oversee the architecture, design and
define the scope, goals, deliverables while ensuring best practices for delivery of scalable and
high-quality software.
- Defining the programme's governance arrangements ensuring the delivery of new products or
accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.
- Manage project scope, resources and expectations in balance with the project budgets and
managing risks to the programme's successful outcome.
- Resolve operational issues, as appropriate and manage third party contributions to the
- Ensure that relevant procedures and practices are followed by the different project teams in
and the overall integrity of the programme.
- Recommend Transformation and Information Technology strategies, policies, and procedures
Emerging technologies in line with global trends, and interoperability within the landscape for
organization's effectiveness and efficiency.
- Produce product road maps, develop future and tactical plans to achieve the desired
- Facilitate smooth turnover/rollout of projects to the business and coordinate Change
