What to Expect

  • As a Testing and Simulator Engineer with our NVH team you will play a critical role in the development of Tesla's industryleading products. You will help improving current and future vehicles comfort setting new benchmarks through physical testing and advanced simulation techniques. You will work sidebyside with fellow NVH staff and other engineering teams to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver worldclass performance.

Role is based in IDIADA (Santa Oliva - Spain). Occasional travel is required.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for conducting NVH physical testing and coordinating simulation team to build models for NVH simulator to evaluate NVH refinement of current and future products
  • Developing test plans and performing automotive noise and vibration testing including (but not limited to) road noise, wind noise, powertrain noise and sources characterizations
  • Work with a worldwide team to gather all the necessaries CAE NVH simulations
  • Use all testing and simulation information to build NVH simulator models
  • Set vehicle level target and cascade to component level
  • Propose solutions to increase NVH refinement and sound quality of current and future models. Organize desktop and vehicle demos for virtual signoff
  • Helping during NVH general vehicle development testing and analysis using NVH tools (Siemens TestLab, Head Acoustics ArtemiS etc.) to perform vehicle and component TPA, modal analysis, panel contribution, squeak and rattles assessments
What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor or Masters in Engineering
  • Professional experience in the field of noise and vibration control. Automotive background preferred
  • Familiarity with hearing physiology, the perception of sound, psychoacoustics, and sound quality analysis
  • Proficient with NVH testing and analysis tools: LMS TestLab and Head Acoustics ArtemiS
  • Strong experience with ViGrade NVH simulator preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including international travel
