A vacancy for an
Aerostructures Commercial Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Seville.

The arostructures programme is looking for a commercial manager.

The aerostructures programme line is serving both internal programmes, as well as external customers.

The commercial manager is focused on acquiring new business on the external aerostructures market, in line with the programme line strategy.


Due to the singularity of the aerostructures programme within Airbus DS, the commercial manager has a scope ranging from early business development up to final offer delivery to the customer.

A high level of autonomy and proactivity is expected from the job holder.


The job holder has to be able to efficiently network with current and new customer, as well as managing a bid in a structured and disciplined manner.

The responsibilities of the job holder can be summarised as follows:


Business development:


  • Recurrent market assessment
  • Identification of opportunities in line with aerostructures strategy
  • Identification of market trend to feedback to R&T and R&D roadmap
  • Customer Relationship management

Bid Management:


  • Lead and coordinate the offer preparation, from bid strategy up to final validation of the offer.
  • Ensure alignment of all involved stakeholders, manage the bid plan and associated budget.
  • Responsible for the completeness and exhaustiveness of all the documentation, internal required for the approvals and external as required by the customer.
  • Responsible for technical aspects ( technical solution and its feasibility) as well as commercial aspect of the offer ( price, T&C, risks etc ).
  • Ensure all requirements for approval are met, including export authorisations, compliance assessments etc.
  • Build, update, maintain the offer business case in close alignment with Finance.
In terms of
skills, competence and experience, the applicant should:

  • Educated to degree level in Economics, Engineering, MBA or equivalent military degree.
  • Communicate in English and Spanish fluently
  • Ideally speak french fluently
- have excellent interpersonnal skills
- have an analytical and creative mind
- have an entrepreneurial mindset
- be experienced in the aerostructures business, ideally in programme management and/or commercial/sales environment
