    We are seeking a native Basque (Spain) linguist to support a short-term linguistic project focused on pronunciation and phonetic transcription. The selected contractor will assist with validating and transcribing Basque words and tokens to support the development of speech technology.

    • Language: Basque (Spain)

    • Workload: ~24 hours total

    • Timeline: February 16 – March 20

    • Type: Short-term freelance contract

    • Rate: 30€ per hour
    Responsibilities

    • Provide accurate pronunciation guidance for Basque words and tokens

    • Perform phonetic transcription following the provided guidelines

    • Ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency
    Requirements

    • Fluent in Basque (Spain)

    • Background in linguistics, phonetics, xohynlm or related field preferred

    • Attention to detail and ability to follow annotation guidelines
