About the role:


The Group:

Morningstar's Spain Sales Team is responsible for helping our institutional clients strengthen their businesses with the goal of providing better outcomes for investors.


The group primarily serves the following client segments:
Advisor, Asset Management, Wealth, Insurance and Sell-side clients.

Responsibilities:


  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Uncover client business needs and work with internal teams to determine optimal client solutions.
  • Work closely with other sales professionals, product, development, implementation, clients and sales support teams to ensure a worldclass product offering for our clients.
  • Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business groups and opportunities within accounts, maintaining the existing business
  • Employ winning strategies to maintain and grow adoption of Morningstar Solutions.
  • Master product demonstrations and knowledge of product capabilities and benefits.
  • Forecast and proactively uncover opportunities within key business groups.
  • Negotiate and close new business.
  • Renew existing business, aligning fees when needed.
  • Develop territory and account plans for book of business.
  • Responsibility for accurate reporting and timely forecasting using our CRM system, Salesforce

Qualifications:


Requirements:


  • Significant Business Development and Account Management Experience from Asset Managers and/or a tier 1 vendor or data / software provider.
  • Strong Asset Management, Insurance and banking industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrable track record of exceeding prior targets.
  • Handson, organized individual who can build longterm client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, longrange planning and timemanagement skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (Spanish and English are strongly required, any other language it's a plus) and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.
  • A consultative selling approach and the ability to understand complex investment requirements.
  • An understanding of the evolving ESG requirements of the investment industry
  • A bachelor's degree is required; MBA or CFA are a plus.
