Role description:


Arcadis is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our Service Environmental Consultancy for industries (SO - Sustainable Operations) team in
Barcelona, ES.


This position will suit a junior chemical engineer motivated to work as an Environmental Consultant to consolidate their career within the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, joining a successful team with exceptional Multinational clients.


Role accountabilities:


As a member of our SEC team the key area of focus will be delivery of Strategic Environmental Assessment mainly but not limited to the chemical sector.


The tasks to be performed include:

Carrying out technical studies related to environmental issues in the industrial sector, mainly gas emissions studies, but also water consumption optimization studies, water purification and waste treatment and management.

Basic knowledge of industrial chemistry is required.

These studies include occasional visits to factories, but the majority of the study is a desk study.


Qualifications & Experience:


Essential:


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • No professional experience required
  • Full professional Catalan and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is a must
  • Full professional English (reading, writing, and speaking) is a must.
  • Timely delivery, consistency, and quality of deliverable to team and client expectations, in compliance with our business quality systems.
  • Flexibility in travel and working away from home for limited periods.
  • Engagement with and adoption of the Arcadis Way and Arcadis core values.
