Junior Researcher in Drug Development

Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Research Group
The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d'Hebron Hospital treats around 120 children and adolescents

with cancer per year as well as up to 500 new patients with haematological conditions and performs 40-50 stem cell

transplantations. All research is conducted through the Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Research Group of VHIR.

very active team of 14 paediatric haematology and oncology consultants, 2 study coordinators, 1 data manager and 2

research nurses, and be involved in the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials and patient registries.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Education and qualifications:


Required:


  • Degree in Medicine
  • Specialist training in Paediatrics (via MIR or equivalent)

Experience and knowledge:


Required:


  • At least 3year experience in Paediatric Haematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation
  • Experience in Clinical Trials in Paediatric Haematology & Oncology, particularly early phase clinical trials
  • Good communication skills and good team player
  • Good Clinical Practice training

Main responsibilities and duties:


  • Participation in recruitment and trialrelated activities of patients enrolled in early/late phase clinical trials
(Haematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant).

  • Assistance to trial principal investigators (paediatric haematology & oncology consultants) with daytoday
conduct of early and late-phase trials at the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d'Hebron

Hospital

  • Communication with sponsors
  • Participation in the development of academic clinical trials, our personalised medicine programme and research
projects led by the unit, in close collaboration with ITCC


Labour conditions:


  • Fulltime position: 40h/week.
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
  • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our
Collective Agreement pay scale
