Our client is a fast-growing, luxury real estate company operating in Barcelona, that is looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join the team.


You will be responsible for the correct bookkeeping and management of the company's financial transactions, you will hold a key role in keeping track of our incomes & spends, and reconciling them, tracking payments and mentor the team on financial matters.

Additionally, you will support the budget & P&L preparation, prepare financial reports, and present your suggestions on opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.

You will be managing the quarterly and yearly closing.


Additionally, you will be in charge of the HR and Legal Administrative tasks aiming to support the team in closing deals, hiring new people, answering to any specific questions which can help to close the deal and / or support our clients ́ in their transaction.

You will be the point of contact of our external legal and tax office.


What you ́ll be doing

  • Bookkeeping of the companies' transactions (revenue, costs, cashflows, commissions, etc.). Prepare biweekly reports of our financial situation.
  • Preparation of financial analysis and different reports to our CEO.
  • Managing the companies' tax declarations and payments: Corporate tax, VAT (register, periodic filing and refund requests). Ensure that all revenues and costs match,
  • Ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded, Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.
  • Controlling, business plan creation and supervision; budget review and update for the company portfolio.

Cash Management:
Creation and management of invoices, Liquidity Planning, execution and supervision of payments.

  • Support P&L Preparation and Update.
  • Explanation of the accounts resolving any issues/queries.
  • Own budgeting and building the finance process for higher efficiency on the team.

What we're looking for

  • 13 years experience minimum in a similar role or in an auditing company.
  • You understand Spanish tax principles and procedures, accounting principles and IFRS international accounting standards, European/International standards a big plus.
  • International Experience in highly digital driven companies is a big plus.
  • Experience in handling administrative tasks beyond finance ( legal and HR)
  • Ideally, you have experience using Holded.
  • International experience
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) and Spanish. Other languages are a plus
