Currently, Amazon Business is seeking a Localization Program Manager to oversee global multi-lingual localization projects.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual who is creative, collaborative, motivated, and customer-focused to make contributions within the Amazon Business Localization team, particularly on content projects in a dynamic digital environment.

The Localization Project Manager will utilize computer-assisted translation tools to ensure that translations, whether generated by humans or machines, adhere to Amazon's specific style guides and quality standards.


To excel in this role, you should be at ease managing projects, often within tight timeframes, juggling various priorities, and liaising with diverse stakeholders.

These stakeholders encompass language service providers, content creators, and internal teams. Your approach to problem-solving and risk management is proactive and inclusive. You thrive in diverse teams and actively contribute to fostering an inclusive culture. You make well-founded business decisions swiftly, even when faced with ambiguity and pressure. Your expertise lies in localization, language quality, and you possess some experience in project management.

Key job responsibilities

The Localization Project Manager must excel in project management, adeptly coordinating global stakeholders to meet precise messaging requirements, all the while establishing effective mechanisms to eliminate obstacles in delivering vast amounts of content across more than 20 languages.

This role entails collaborating with internal partners and external vendors, harnessing both processes and technology to attain our objectives.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee endtoend international localization projects, closely collaborating with internal business partners, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure punctual delivery within the translation management system.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality.
  • Facilitate enhancements to the localization program across creative, marketing, engineering, and programming sectors.
  • Identify, address, and escalate project risks.
  • Create, revise, review, and sustain localization process documentation and wikis.
  • Manage translation memories and term bases.

  • Experience in managing intricate projects involving global, crossfunctional teams working with multiple languages.
  • Master's degree in Communication, Languages, Computational Linguistics, or Translation Studies
