With reference to our General Manager Jens Lundin, you'll integrate into our strong team, contributing to the success of our operations.

This pivotal role is based in Algeciras, Spain.


Your Role as a Purchasing Manager
As our new Purchasing Manager, you will be the linchpin in achieving the overarching goals of our procurement team. Your proactive approach and strategic mindset will be crucial in steering our procurement efforts towards excellence.

We expect you to be the key player in vendor contact and negotiation, creating value through competitive order fulfillment and error-free deliveries.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the team of four people to ensure timely response to customer requests, and obtain quotes for non-stock goods
• Execute BTS orders as per trade agreements (negotiated by regional/global category managers), incl. invoice clearing, return goods, etc.
• Ensure that stock items are available on time, in the appropriate quantity & quality and at the negotiated price
• Thoroughly understand customer preferences, translating customer codes to Wrist codes
• Provide timely and complete order confirmation in collaboration with Sales
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all items are available for timely delivery
• Develop and maintain local vendor relationships
• Manage the invoice approval process

Qualifications & requirements

Preferably, you have an educational background within Business, Procurement or Supply Chain at minimum on bachelor level with at least 2 years of demonstrated procurement or vendor management experience.

It will be an advantage if you have experience in ship supply, but not a requirement.


Moreover, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

• Negotiation skills
• IT & business systems expertise (e.g. AX)
• Numerical adept
• Organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines, performing under time pressure
• High level of integrity, honesty and respect for the company, customers and colleagues
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite and the ability to converse in other languages an advantage
