We are currently hiring a Mechanical engineer based out of our office of Madrid, Spain, to develop, lead and coordinate projects in the world of the Mechanics and Hydraulics, with a focus on custom and sustaining special Bolting products.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage engineering custom projects as assigned for improving product cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Responsible for quality improvements and cost reductions of assigned products through VA/VE and other PCIS activities, sharing responsibility meeting departmental and crossfunctional cost reduction goals.
  • Submit and conduct validation tests in the test lab to ensure products meet life and performance requirements.
  • Address and resolve customer problems related to product design.
  • Provide engineering support for product performance and design issues within in the production cells.
  • Review products to insure they meet performance expectations during engineering changes.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with crossfunctional teams including marketing, project management, sourcing, purchasing, quality, and operations.
  • Effectively communicate with crossfunctional teams, suppliers, customers, distributors, and sales personnel.
  • Work with operators and other engineers on shift to troubleshoot defect/contamination sources and to determine proper repair techniques.
  • Handle customer escalations, conduct remote sessions, troubleshoot production issues, and reproduce customer issues in laboratory.
  • Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products.
  • Investigate product complaints from customer sites, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion.
  • Create strategy for the verification of the corrective designs and participate in verification activities.
  • Source parts as required, manage vendor issues as needed with Operations & Supply chain teams.
  • Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products.
  • Contribute to risk management content such as FMEA, PFMEA and hazard analysis.

Who we are looking for:


  • An Industrial Engineer with a Degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred and a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Well versed in PTC Creo or equivalent 3D software tools, as well as FEA analysis techniques.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects independently in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead & manage an engineering group based in different locations worldwide.
  • Handson and ability to conduct tests in the development laboratory. Mechanical aptitude including ability to use common shop tools and measurement equipment.
  • Language : Spanish and English (written and verbal) is a must have
