Reporting to the CEO of the company, the main responsibilities and tasks are:

  • Responsible management for order processing, production and maintenance
  • Management of approx. 100 employees across two management levels
  • Guidance of shift leaders and supervision of production in 2shift operation (Mon-Fri)
  • Ensuring that projects can be implemented while keeping to time, costs and quality standards
  • Ensuring economic and competitive production (on schedule and in the right quantities, with high quality) and achieving the targets set
  • Creating and ensuring an optimal working environment and a productive working climate, especially with regard to occupational health and safety
  • Developing and introducing an improvement management system
  • Responsibility for the strategic and operational development of lean programs and improvement of existing processes
  • Initiation and implementation of process flows and optimization measures to increase productivity.
  • Budget and resource planning
  • Analysis of KPIs relevant to the division and derivation of fields of action
  • Development of a vision for the department and implementation
  • Cooperation with internal departments such as purchasing, etc. with a view to the entire foundry process.

The main goals are:

  • Full integration into the Group: processes, methods, procedures, culture, modernization,...
  • Management of operations according to the KPIs established by the CEO of the company in Spain, which will correspond to an approximate turnover of €30 million in 2024.

Bachground:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, or equivalent with 3+ years' experience in Operations/Production Management with Lean Manufacturing skills.
  • Experience in Foundry is a must. (Chief Operating Officers, Operations Mangers, Plant Managers, Production Managers )
  • Model the manufacturing process to provide forecasts of expected output and revenue.
  • Anticipate the effect of production issues and mitigate their impact.
  • Compare actual output to projected values to refine the model.
  • Manage and supervise the workforce, including task allocation, setting deadlines, and monitoring performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Based on risk management formulate strategic and operational objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Working with the Operations team to understand in detail how the manufacturing process is performed on the floor with particular emphasis on the costs.
  • Working with the internal software teams to create tools; MES and MRP to monitor the inventory of cost of material at each stage of its life cycle and production of finished goods.
  • Working with the manager's team on personnel issues of training, safety, staffing, and performance reviews and with the Engineering teams to improve efficiency, yield, and quality.
  • Spanish, English (C1 minimum), German (It's a plus)
  • Sporadic trips to the headquarters in Germany or attendance at international meetings.

  • PROCAST GUSS: Founded in 1982 Procast Guss looks back on a long tradition as jobbing foundry and is today one of the leading companies in Europe.
With its own production capacity of 71,000 t of cast products, they produce unit weights of 0.5 kg

  • 350 kg in machine molding and up to 55 t in hand molding. The range of cast iron materials they offer extends from gray and nodular iron through SiMo and ADI to highalloy austenitic or wearresistant material grades. With its four foundries, its own pattern shop and mechanical processing on a total of 30 processing machines, our service covers the entire chain from design support to the delivery of machined and, if necessary, painted components.
