ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To establish a vision, sense of purpose, and pride in Mathematics.
Implementing a strong, supportive, and challenging quality assurance program to ensure excellence in teaching and learning in Mathematics.
Setting a positive example as an outstanding classroom practitioner, offering superb learning experiences and fostering students' lifelong passion for learning.
Ensuring appropriate tasks are assigned in the event of a department member's absence.
Supporting team members in enhancing their skills and identifying opportunities for further development.
Ensuring that all staff and students adhere to school policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety, safeguarding, behavior, language use, rewards, sanctions, and professional attire standards. Assisting staff in implementing these policies, providing guidance and advice as needed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Extensive experience as a Mathematics Teacher.
Effective leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in English (knowledge of Spanish is advantageous).
