    Medical Manager, Rare Disease

    Biogen seeks a dedicated Medical Director for Rare Diseases to lead the medical strategy and activities for our SMA disease portfolio in Spain. Key responsibilities include:

    • Providing medical input into regional/global medical strategy for SMA, leveraging local customer insights and collaborating with internal partner functions.
    • Leading, developing, and implementing country SMA medical plans in partnership with affiliate leadership teams across functions.
    • Participating in business planning processes, identifying key research questions, and ensuring targeted and innovative solutions aligned with product strategy.
    • Coordinating medical teams to ensure alignment with global/regional strategy and supporting better understanding of local challenges, clinical practice, and diagnosis needs for SMA patients.
    • Developing and executing phase IV studies, registries, IITs, and SRAs for SMA, as required.
    • Maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and providing strategic and operational input into SMA portfolio objectives.
    • Supporting regulatory strategies for product-specific activities and working closely with commercial teams to create medical product tactics that enhance SMA patient well-being and deliver value to patients and their healthcare teams.
