Application Support/Release Engineer

Some of your day will include:

Work closely with operation engineers, QA and software development teams performing code releases across various environments.
Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues during scheduled release cycles.
Working with team responsible for all production/nonproduction software platforms and ensuring a high availability operational status.
Provide input on production site uptime & stability.
Manage the daytoday operation of system monitoring operational tools
Actively participate in quarterly weekend releases

2+ years of experience in

Hands on software release role
PowerShell or Linux shell languages
Opensource release software

Preferred experience in

Recipes and cookbooks using CHEF
AWS or equivalent cloud services
Pingdom, Jira, Splunk PRTG, AWS
Coordinating releases
Degree in Computer Science or related technical field of added work experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with global teams
Calm demeanor to deal with technical and personnel issues
Ability to collaborate and build networks helping Technical leads to ensure proper design of solutions
